The first joint project between CISTEC AG (the Swiss market leader in the hospital information system environment) and trifact (the Swiss market leader in bedside services) has started. Muri Hospital, as the customer, is taking on the pioneering role and, with the first FHIR integration of the two companies, is taking a further step in the transformation of patient processes.
Initial situation: π₯
Patients have several appointments per day during their hospital stay. The appointments are often communicated to the patient verbally or recorded in writing on a whiteboard in the room. If an appointment changes, this means a great deal of effort today to communicate and rewrite the appointments per patient. The patient appointments are available in KISIM today, but are not yet available to the patient at the bedside.
Answer: π
In the future, it will be possible for nursing staff and the patients themselves to view the appointments from KISIM directly at the bedside on the triApp and thus notice possible "time overlaps" or "appointment conflicts" more quickly. The appointments are managed in Cistec's KISIM and called up from the trifact triApp via the new FHIR interface.
